Stopped by to see about fixing a storm door handle on a door we bought from Central Shade & Glass over a decade ago. The staff took a look and gave me the missing pieces I needed free of charge. They even remembered my Mom who originally ordered the door from them! Great customer service from this local Yonkers business!

This is a family shop staffed by phenomenal people. They had stopped stocking glass when I came, but upon hearing my woeful tale of how racoon home invasion had left me needing a pane of glass before I moved to California in two days, Pauline made it her business to take care of me, and Teddy searched until he found a leftover pane in the stockroom. And he gave me music recommendations. I am deeply grateful for them going beyond mere professionalism in my time of need.

A few years ago, I had installed a wood fanned blind for my arch window for the living room and they did a fabulous job. It came out perfect ! I don't remember the person (she) who took care of me but she was so helpful and made sure everything was perfect.
I am going back to Central Shade & Glass to get the same for my bedroom window.

I have been incredibly pleased with Central Shade and Glass. This wonderful family business Is the only place that I would trust and recommend. I used them years ago and used them again this past fall to install all my window shades. Now that we are in the pandemic, I had to wait until phase 2 resumed in NYC to screen-in my terrace.. Pauline, in the office, knew that I was eager and scheduled me within a week. Teddy, the owner, personally installed my screens in the high heat of a summer day. He did a beautiful job. He left everything very neat and clean. The screen is beautiful. I have been enjoying my little oasis in NYC. I don't have to worry about my cat jumping off the terrace. I leave the window open and he could jump in and out all day.I am more than grateful to Central Shade and Glass. You should also know that I have recommended them through the years and everybody has been satisfied and happy!

I purchased 5 pleated shades for my home that are without cords or wands. They have worked perfectly since being installed. The order went in to Central Shade and arrived in the time they promised. I am very happy with the shades, the service I received and especially the price. Great value for my money! I would recommend Central Shade to anyone.
